Tales of Teaching Practice week 8 ( The Last Week)

Day 34 of My Teaching Practice

29.07.2024                                                                                                                             Monday

Today marked the 34th day of my teaching practice. I arrived at school by 8:45 a.m. and started with substitution duty in class 10B during the first period. For my allotted periods, which were the third and sixth, my mentor teacher was on leave, so I took over both periods.

During these sessions, I revised the chapter new numbers and provided the students with extra questions. It was gratifying to see them tackle these questions independently, applying their understanding of the material.

At noon, I helped serve the meal, In addition to my regular duties, I assisted with an arts competition in the school seminar hall, organized by the arts teacher. and then, in the sixth period, I continued with my allotted class, giving them additional practice problems. This extra practice allowed them to reinforce their knowledge and gain confidence in the subject.

I felt a deep sense of satisfaction seeing students actively engage with the material and work through challenges. It was a reminder of the impact of providing students with opportunities to practice and apply their knowledge. After the bell rang at 3:15 p.m., I performed line duty following the national anthem, signed the attendance register, and left the school premises by 3:45 p.m.

Day 35 of Teaching Practice

30.7.2024                                                                                                                                    Tuesday

Today marked the 35th day of my teaching practice. I arrived at school at 8:45 a.m., and although I had no scheduled classes, I was assigned substitution duties. I covered class 6G during the first period and class 7H during the third period. At noon, I helped serve the school meal.

Since today was our second-to-last day of teaching practice, I spent much of my time completing official tasks, such as signing records and obtaining necessary seals from the school.

After the bell rang at 3:15 p.m. and we sang the national anthem, I performed line duty. I signed the attendance register and left the school premises by 3:45 p.m.

I felt a strong sense of accomplishment as I wrapped up my teaching practice. It was a day filled with final preparations and contributing to various school activities, marking a significant milestone in my journey.

Day 36 : Final Day of Teaching Practice: A Bittersweet Farewell

31.07.2024                                                                                                                             Wednesday

Today marked the end of my teaching practice. I arrived at school at 8:45 a.m. and spent my last day with a mix of emotions. My allotted period was the fourth, and I noticed the students were feeling down about my departure. I distributed the papers from the achievement test and gave each student a small gift and some sweets to celebrate their achievements. It was tough to say goodbye.

At noon, I assisted with serving the meal and expressed our thanks to the staff for their support and the delicious food they had provided throughout our time. We also took a moment to thank our concerned teachers for their guidance and support.

In the afternoon, we visited Mr. Jose Sir, the Headmaster, to present him with a small gift and a donation for the school from our group.

As the day came to a close, we bid farewell to the teachers and the school community. We left the premises at 4:15 p.m., reflecting on a rewarding experience and feeling grateful for the memories made.
