TALES FROM TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 5
Day 21 : "A Day of Growth and Discovery in the Classroom"
Today marked the 21st day of my teaching practice at VPS Malankara HSS Venganoor, and it was a day filled with meaningful experiences and learning moments. The day kicked off with the usual routine .The morning buzzed with excitement as the school held elections for class representatives during the first period.
My allocated teaching slot fell during the third period at 9 C. The topic of the day was the area of a circle from the chapter "Circle Measures." Before diving into problem-solving, I gauged the students' previous knowledge, laying the foundation for an engaging session. As we worked through various problems related to the topic, it was heartening to see the students grasp the properties of circles and apply area formulas by visualizing geometric figures. I made it a point to guide them in developing spatial reasoning skills, a crucial aspect of problem-solving in the realm of circles.
Post-class, I dedicated time to refining my lesson plans, ensuring each element contributed to an enriching learning experience. Noon brought a break for us teachers as we went to serve the noon meal, and post-lunch, I delved into the preparation of questions for an upcoming diagnostic test.
At 3:10 pm, the school bell rang, signaling the end of the day's academic activities. Following the national anthem, I headed for line duty. After signing off on attendance, I wrapped up my day, leaving the school premises by 3:30 pm.
Each day brings new challenges and opportunities for growth, and today was no exception. I am continually inspired by the enthusiasm of my students and look forward to more days of discovery in the classroom.
