Tales from teaching practice week 4

Day 16 : "Empowering Education and Creative Initiatives''

"Day 16 at VPS Venganoor HSS marked an enriching teaching experience. Starting with the morning routine and a problem-solving session on diameter and perimeter, students explored the intricate connections between regular polygons and circle measures. In the afternoon, I collaborated on organizing a poster-making competition for World AIDS Day, gaining approval from the HM and coordinating with the art teacher, Mr. John Rose. The competition notice was distributed, and the event is set for Wednesday. A fulfilling day concluded with line duty, and I left the school premises at 3:30 pm. Excited about the upcoming activities and the engagement of students in the learning process!"

Day 17 "Exploring Circumference''

"On the 17th day of my teaching practice at VPS Malankara HSS Venganoor, I engaged students in a dynamic constructivist lesson on the 'Circumference of a Circle.' Through hands-on activities and group discussions, students not only discovered the formula for calculating circle perimeters but also delved into the significance of pi in the context of circle measures. Post-lesson, I collaborated on planning an exciting poster-making competition and managed to squeeze in lunch and lesson plan refinement. With no substitution duties, the day concluded with attendance and a timely departure at 3:30 pm.''

DAY 18 : "Creative Endeavors and Problem Solving"

"On the 17th day of my teaching practice at VPS Malankara HSS Venganoor, I delved into a problem-solving session on the 'Circumference of a Circle' during the 2nd period at 9 C. Simple questions sparked engaging discussions, helping students understand and calculate circle circumferences. Post-class, I collaborated with Mr. John Rose to organize a successful poster-making competition. Skipping noon meal serving, we had lunch with Nivea Ma'am, and the competition, held at 1 pm, showcased remarkable creativity. After evaluating the posters with John Rose, we announced winners for each class. The day wrapped up with attendance and a timely departure at 3:30 pm.

Day 19 : ''Educational Adventures''

"Day 19 of my teaching practice at VPS Malankara HSS Venganoor brought diverse experiences. After starting the day with the teachers' prayer and my allotted class in 9 C, I took on substitution duty in 8 E during the 3rd period, assisting students with their English notes. Following lunch, back in my classroom, I engaged students in discovering the formula for finding the area of a circle, fostering interest and understanding through visualization. A follow-up activity laid the groundwork for future learning. Responding to school instructions, I took on substitution duty in 8 D during the 6th period. The day concluded with the usual routine: the national anthem, attendance, and leaving the school premises by 3:30 pm.

Day 20 : "Dynamic Day of Teaching and Problem-Solving''

"Day 20 at VPS Malankara HSS Venganoor brought a mix of engagements, from participating in the teachers' prayer to dynamic substitution duties in 6 E and 7 D.
