Tales from Teaching Practice Phase 2 week 6
Day 24 of My Teaching Practice
15.07-2024 Monday
Today, I arrived at school at 8:45 a.m. and did substitution duties in classes 8E and 9C during the first and second periods. At noon, I helped serve the meal.
In the sixth period, I conducted a problem-solving session on "Multiplication with Difference." I introduced geometry problems to explore how changing the dimensions of shapes affects their area and perimeter. Students analyzed these effects and framed equations based on their observations.
I reviewed their solutions to ensure accuracy and was pleased with their active participation.
The day ended with the national anthem, line duty, and signing the register. I left the school at 3:45 p.m.
Day 25 of My Teaching Practice
17.7.2024 Wednesday
Today, I arrived at school at 8:45 a.m. and had a substitution duty during the second period. My allotted period was the fourth period, where I conducted an advanced problem-solving session on "Multiplication with Difference." The students applied algebraic identities to solve complex problems and showed great interest, asking for more similar questions.
During the third period, I helped decorate the auditorium for an event honoring students who received full A+ grades in Class 10 and 12, which was attended by the Education Minister of Kerala, V. Sivankutty.
In the fourth period, I introduced a new topic, "Product of a Sum and Difference," through an activity-based session. Students explored multiplication identities with various numbers and practiced applying the identity through problems.
At noon, I assisted with meal serving. During the sixth period, I did substitution duty in class 5E. After the bell and national anthem at 3:15 p.m., I performed line duty and signed the register before leaving at 3:45 p.m.
