Day 5 : Preparations for National Reading Day

18.06.2024                                                                         Tuesday

Today was my fifth day of teaching practice. I arrived at school at 8:45 a.m. and signed the attendance register. Since I didn't have a scheduled class, I was assigned to cover substitution duties for the first three periods. It was a good experience managing different classrooms and keeping the students engaged.

After the fourth period, I helped serve the noon meal. Then, I assisted teachers and students in preparing for National Reading Day, which will be celebrated the next day. We made placards, posters, and other items to highlight the importance of reading.

In the afternoon, I continued with more substitution duties. Each class was different, and I enjoyed interacting with various students. At 3:15 p.m., the school day ended with the national anthem, followed by line duty to ensure students left orderly. By 3:45 p.m., I signed out and left the school.

It was a busy and productive day filled with new experiences and learning opportunities. Stay tuned for more updates from my teaching practice journey!

6th Day : Celebrating National Reading Day

19-06-2024                                                                                                  Wednesday

Today, I reached school at 8:45 a.m. and participated in a special assembly celebrating National Reading Day. The headmaster and deputy headmaster shared inspiring messages about the importance of reading, and various programs like role plays and reading competitions were held.

The extended assembly took up the first period. I had substitution duties in class 9B during the second period and in class 9D during the third period. During the fourth period, my supervising teacher, Kartika Ma'am, observed my class. I provided student activity cards to help students construct knowledge on mathematical principles, following a constructivist learning design.

After lunch, I spent time writing the lesson plan. At 3:15 p.m., we performed line duty, and I left the school by 3:45 p.m. It was a productive and engaging day.
