Day 17 of My Teaching Practice

Today was the 17th day of my teaching practice. I reached the school at 8:45 a.m. During the second period, I conducted a problem-solving session on "Product of Sums" from the chapter "Multiplication Identities."

I guided the students through the first word problem, but they solved the rest on their own. They translated verbal descriptions into algebraic expressions and applied the distributive property effectively.

During the 5th period, I helped with meal serving and had substitution duty in class 9A. At 3:15 p.m., after the bell and national anthem, I performed line duty. We signed the attendance register and left the school by 3:45 p.m.

Overall, it was a productive day focused on reinforcing the distributive property through problem-solving.

Day 18 of My Teaching Practice

Today was the 18th day of my teaching practice. I reached the school at 8:45 a.m. A special assembly was organized to celebrate "Basheer Day" in honor of the renowned Malayalam writer Vaikom Muhammad Basheer. The event included a skit about Basheer's life and literary contributions. The assembly extended for a long time, so there was no first period.

During the second period, I went to class 9A for substitution duty. I spent the third and fourth periods writing lesson plans. At noon, I helped serve the meal.

In the 6th period, I conducted a problem-solving session in class 9G on special operations from the unit "Multiplication Identities." The students solved problems and discussed why the product of two odd numbers is always odd. They analyzed patterns and constructed their own mathematical proofs.

Overall, it was a productive day that combined cultural enrichment with effective teaching and learning in mathematics.
